Congratulations to Ohio's NATSAA Winners!

January 28, 2012 was the date that the Ohio NATSAA competition was held at Capital University in Mees Hall. Even though that day's snow storm made traveling more difficult the competition was a great success and there was beautiful singing heard throughout the afternoon by all contestants. The distinguished  judges for the event were Dr. Scott McCoy author of Your Voice , An Inside View, Sharon Stohrer author of The Singer's Companion, and substituting for Dr. JR Fralick was Stephanie Henkle, our Buckeye Chapter President.  The two singers chosen to represent Ohio at the Great Lakes Regional NATSAA competition on March 2nd, 2012 are Cameo Humes, tenor, and Maribeth Crawford, soprano. Both of these singers are new members in the Buckeye Chapter of NATS.  In case either or both of these singers are unable to compete in the next round two alternates were chosen.  They are:  1st alternate Yoon Geong Lee, soprano, and the 2nd alternate Lauren Feola, soprano.  Ohio Governor, Jacqueline Barlow-Ware, was responsible for planning and overseeing the event.
